Barolo 2020 - Villa Pani

Wine Villa Pani - Aged in 225-litre French oak barrels for 38 months, which gives Villa Pani's Barolo structure and complexity, in a style where the powerful and tannic tradition of Barolo is given a more modern and accessible touch, thanks to the use of medium-sized barrels that soften the wood while remaining noble. On tasting, the wine reveals intense red fruit aromas of cherry, morello cherry and wild strawberry, accompanied by spicy notes, caramel and a subtle hint of oak. On the palate, the attack is full and robust. The tannins are firm but elegant, and the texture is velvety despite their presence. There is a remarkable balance between power, structure and freshness, based on a lively acidity that provides tension, ripe fruit and finely integrated wood. The overall impression is elegant and noble, promising good ageing potential.
