Barolo Monprivato 2021 - Giovanni Sordo

Wine Sordo - Sordo has access to some of the appellation’s finest vineyard sites, including this renowned vineyard in Castiglione Falletto. The 2021 Sordo Barolo Monprivato offers a rich yet already approachable profile, with aromas of blackberry, plum, earthy notes and truffle. The wine displays precision, concentration and character, all underpinned by a mineral backbone. On the palate, it offers well-managed tannins with a certain firmness but without any bitterness. Of the estate’s new single-vineyard wines, this is certainly the most complete, although further ageing should allow this great wine to blossom and soften.
