Spirits Finvara - The King’s Gambit is created by master distiller David F. Hynes using local Irish ingredients. It is triple-distilled in copper stills using traditional methods, then matured for several years in carefully selected bourbon casks. It is then finished in Oloroso sherry casks, under the influence of Ireland’s demanding yet generous climate. It offers a supple and harmonious texture on the palate. Its aromas evoke dried fruits, sweet spices and toasted wood. The whisky’s identity draws inspiration from a legendary and mythical world. The name “King’s Gambit” refers to a strategic opening in chess. This inspiration symbolises the balance between boldness, mastery and elegance.
