Wine Tenuta di Trinoro - Vini Franchetti - A single-varietal Cabernet Franc, this great Tuscan IGT forms part of the ‘I Campi’ trilogy: three different plots on the Val d’Orcia estate, yielding three wines and three distinct varietal expressions. A small 1.5-hectare vineyard, Campo di Magnacosta is nestled at an altitude of 400 metres, at the bottom of the valley. Deeply rooted in gravel and loam, the vines produce a wine of beautiful fullness, generous and well-structured. In the glass, the Campo di Magnacosta 2023 displays a lighter red colour than the other vintages in the range. On the nose, it blends aromas of red and black forest fruits, spicy notes and delicate floral nuances. On the palate, its warm, enveloping structure is supported by lively acidity, firm tannins and good length, revealing some mineral nuances typical of its terroir. A rare cuvée with a distinct character, to be left to age quietly in the cellar, for full expression.
