Wine Plaimont - The 2024 vintage of the Saint-Mont AOC marks a first: the combination of the historic Tardif grape, rediscovered in an old vineyard plot, with the powerful Tannat. Harvested at full ripeness from the coolest plots, these grapes offer a peppery freshness and unique, delicate aromas. Carefully vinified without excess, the Tardif is aged in old barrels to soften its tannins, whilst the Tannat remains on fine lees to preserve its pure fruit and natural finesse. Its brilliant ruby colour, nose of redcurrant and green pepper, and palate that is both generous and airy, with subtle spice, make this a smooth and elegant wine. Ideal with salads, tartares, light risottos or red fruit desserts, it tells the story of the vineyard and the respect for the environmentally valuable vineyards of the Pyrenean Piedmont.
