Château Recougne Vieilles Vignes 2016

Wine Château Recougne - Recougne comes from the Latin terra recognita (“known land”). If you did not know that a great wine is produced in this domaine, the blind tasting will prove it. Its dominant Melot (77%) can be perceived thanks to the delicious aromas of black fruits, violets, spices and liquorice. There is also a perceptible presence in the characteristic roundness that leaves its mark in an intense, dense, full, velvety palate with tannins that are both fine and firm. To support it there is a touch of freshness that provides additional nerve and a magnificent length. Not waiting to open this bottle would be a sin, but it is tempting to succumb to it!
