Wine Jules Metras - Located amongst the highest-altitude vineyards in Beaujolais, Chiroubles benefits from granite-rich slopes that promote uniform ripening of the Gamay grapes and a refined aromatic expression. The La Montagne cuvée comes from high-altitude plots, benefiting from favourable exposures that contribute to the wine’s precision and balance. The Jules Métras estate adopts a low-intervention winemaking approach, with hand-harvesting and controlled extraction. Fermentation is managed to preserve the fruit’s expression and the terroir’s character, without excessive extraction or structure. The 2024 vintage is distinguished by a clean aromatic profile, marked by notes of fresh red fruit, floral nuances and a slight spicy dimension. On the palate, it offers balanced body, a supple structure and a fresh finish, supported by a fine framework that reflects the granitic terroir.
