Wine Jules Metras - Chiroubles is one of the highest-altitude crus in Beaujolais, situated on granite-rich slopes offering ideal conditions for the even ripening of Gamay. The old vines used for this cuvée allow for natural concentration and a more precise expression of the grape variety. The Jules Métras estate follows a low-intervention approach to viticulture and winemaking, prioritising respect for the grapes and their environment. The grapes are harvested by hand, and vinification is carried out in a way that preserves the fruit’s aromatic integrity, with gentle extraction. The 2024 vintage is characterised by a wine with a distinct aromatic profile, marked by notes of fresh red fruit, a light to moderate structure and a fluid texture. The overall impression highlights the finesse of the Chiroubles terroir and the concentration provided by the old vines.
