Clair de lune 2024 - Complices de Loire

Wine Complices de Loire - Made from vines around 30 years old rooted in clay and flint soils over a limestone subsoil, Claire de Lune precisely expresses all the richness of Chenin Blanc. This balanced terroir, combining freshness and ripeness, yields grapes that are both concentrated and taut. Vinification, carried out half in stainless steel vats and half in barrels, followed by ageing on lees for 8 months, gives the wine a lovely complexity whilst preserving its natural brilliance. The nose opens with a precise aromatic profile, blending white flowers and yellow-fleshed fruits such as peach and pear, with a touch of quince and a distinct mineral backbone. On the palate, the balance is remarkable: a generous texture, underpinned by a structuring freshness and lovely tension.
