Corriente 2023 - Bodega Lanzaga - Telmo Rodríguez

Wine Compañia de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez - Corriente pays homage to an unofficial wine classification used in the early 20th century: ‘Corriente’ wines (common, everyday wines) as opposed to ‘Selecto’ wines (selected wines). It is a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha with a handful of white grapes. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats, then aged for a year in a combination of concrete, barriques and large oak casks. It differs from the ‘LZ’ in its oak ageing. It is fresh, with notes of blackberries and red fruits. The tannins are moderate, with a hint of spice and a lively, mineral and floral finish.
