Wine Sordo - Hailing from the prestigious hills of the Langhe, in the heart of Piedmont, Giovanni Sordo’s Dolcetto d’Alba embodies the authentic expression of a terroir rich in calcareous marl and minerals, ideal for bringing out the full character of the Dolcetto grape. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red colour with purple highlights. The nose opens with delicious aromas of ripe red fruits — black cherry, blackberry and blueberry — accompanied by delicate floral notes of violet and a slight hint of spice. The palate is supple and harmonious, with lovely freshness and well-integrated tannins that provide structure without harshness. The overall profile is balanced, at once fruity and elegant, true to the style of Dolcetto d’Alba, renowned for its dry, slightly bitter and approachable character.
