Wine Exopto - The estate’s sole cuvée made from 100% Graciano, this wine is not merely a cuvée it is a message of conviction, one that Graciano deserves far more than to be a secondary grape variety. The grapes come from different plots situated between Alfaro, Ábalos and Laguardia, planted between 1990 and 2016, on soils comprising sand, pebbles, limestone and clay, at altitudes of between 400 and 600 metres. Expresión de Graciano is the result of 18 months’ ageing in 225- and 600-litre French oak barrels, which have already been used, giving the wine structure without masking its identity. The nose opens with black fruits, spices, fig and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is dense and textured, with lovely aromatic intensity supported by fresh acidity and pronounced tannins. The finish, slightly smoky and spicy, lingers with character. A few years in the cellar will allow it to reveal its full potential.
