Gigondas 2023 - Cellier des Princes

Wine Cellier des Princes - Grown on terraces of red clay interspersed with limestone gravel in the heart of Gigondas, this 2023 vintage perfectly expresses the richness of its terroir. The blend, dominated by Grenache and complemented by Syrah and Cinsault, offers a combination of richness, structure and aromatic finesse. The winemaking process, characterised by a long vatting period with racking and punching down, gently extracts body and complexity, whilst ageing in vats preserves the purity of the fruit and the wine’s identity. The bouquet reveals a beautiful intensity of red and black fruits, enriched with floral notes of peony, sweet spices, cocoa, liquorice and a subtle hint of cigar. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, dense and lively, carried by fine, silky tannins that give structure to the whole without ever weighing it down. The long, lingering finish prolongs the aromas against a spicy and fruity backdrop, offering a remarkable balance between power and elegance.
