Wine Weingut Weszeli - Among the historic hillsides of the Kamptal, the Schenkenbichl vineyard stands as a hidden gem. The earliest traces of viticulture here date back to the early 15th century, when this terraced hillside already bore the name it retains today. On these south-facing slopes, the vines sink their roots into a complex geological mosaic of paragneiss, limestone, amphibolite and layers of loess. This diversity of soils allows the Grüner Veltliner to express its full depth. This wine benefits from particularly careful ageing: 32 months on fine lees, half in stainless steel vats and half in large oak casks. This long maturation refines the wine’s texture whilst preserving the purity of its expression. The nose reveals an expressive aromatic palette blending fresh apple, citrus, stone fruit and meadow herbs. On the palate, the mineral tension and structuring acidity bring precision and dynamism. Powerful yet always elegant, this Grüner Veltliner stands out for its purity, depth and a long, vibrant and intensely expressive finish.
