Haghtanak 2022 - Tushpa
Wine Tushpa - Made entirely from the Haghtanak grape variety, an indigenous variety emblematic of the Ararat region whose name means victory, this Tushpa wine is produced in a style faithful to the roots of Armenian viticulture. Grown on clay soils near Mount Ararat, this wine embodies the vibrant and unique character of Armenian terroirs. Spontaneous fermentation allows the grapes to express themselves fully, whilst seven months ageing in Caucasian oak barrels provides precise structure. The dark, dense colour hints at a bold profile. The nose reveals a rich bouquet, blending blackcurrant, ripe cherry and a subtly integrated touch of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with an enveloping texture that retains excellent structure. The aromas evolve gradually, gaining depth without ever losing clarity. The finish, persistent and slightly oaky, prolongs this sensation of controlled power.
