La Quincyte 2023 - Domaine Roux

Wine Domaine Roux - Like every cuvée from Domaine Roux, La Quincyte 2023 is designed to be a faithful expression of the Quincy terroir, revealing minerality, freshness and depth. West of Bourges, in the Centre-Loire region, the Quincy AOP vineyard offers one of the most accomplished expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, much like its famous neighbours in Sancerre and Pouilly. Cultivated for centuries in the Loire, rooted here in sandy and gravelly soils, Sauvignon reflects, at Domaine Roux, a plot-by-plot approach that prioritises balance between nature and cultivation, as well as low yields (only 2,000 bottles produced for the 2023 vintage). This Quincy wine bears witness to that, the result of a year marked by contrasting weather conditions, where Albin Roux’s meticulous work has preserved a balanced and aromatic juice. Thus, this AOP Quincy displays lovely minerality and lingering freshness, with an aromatic core featuring notes of citrus and peach. A faithful and personal interpretation of a terroir that produces fine and great wines, often very affordable.
