L'Abbaye 2022 - Domaine de l ’Ancienne Cure

Wine Domaine de l ’Ancienne Cure - Named in homage to the presbytery formerly known as ‘la cure’, L’Abbaye embodies the most elegant and structured expression of Monbazillac. This 2022 vintage, aged for 20 months in new barrels, stands out for its richness and complexity. On the nose, it develops deep aromas of candied fruit, honey, vanilla and a delicate hint of ripe citrus. The palate is full-bodied, smooth and perfectly balanced: 130 g/L of residual sugar lends it sweetness and density, whilst the natural acidity structures the wine for a long, lingering finish with honeyed and candied notes. A structured and elegant wine, capable of ageing for several decades.
