Le Clos Rouge 2023 - Clos Saint Vincent
Wine Clos Saint Vincent - The Sicardi and Sergi families acquired the Clos Saint Vincent estate in 1993, an ancient French vineyard that has held its Bellet AOC since 1941. A rigorous respect for the environment, combined with organic and biodynamic cultivation methods, is practised here (lunar calendar, plant-based preparations, etc.). Produced from a south-south-west facing plot, Le Clos Rouge reveals the full character of Folle Noire, an iconic grape variety blended with a touch of Grenache. On soil of pebbles mixed with light-coloured sand, the grapes reach ideal ripeness and give rise to a deep, expressive wine. Hand-harvested and carefully selected, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel vats with manual punching down and a long vatting period, revealing the full richness of the fruit. After 12 to 16 months ageing in French oak barrels, the wine gains in structure, complexity and elegance. Bottled without fining or filtration, it retains all its authenticity and may contain a natural sediment, a testament to its lively character.
