Wine Catena Zapata - Mundus Bacillus Terrae is a plot of Malbec whose name pays homage to the rhizobacteria that live in symbiosis with the vines at 1,450 metres in the Adrianna vineyard. Three-quarters of the wine is fermented in concrete tanks and the remainder in large oak vats, followed by 18 months in French oak barrels. The nose offers notes of violet and lavender with subtle hints of red fruit, but the wine then explodes on the palate. The wine has a pure texture with a lively tension and ripe yet soft tannins, very characteristic of Malbec. The magic of this wine lies in its uniqueness, both in style and in its approach to the grape variety. A fascinating wine.
