Malbec La Posta Pizzella 2024 – Famille Catena

Wine Catena Zapata - Created in the early 2000s by Laura Catena, the third generation at the helm of the eponymous estate—one of Argentina’s leading bodegas—the Posta collection showcases the talent of local producers who work with respect for the land and the environment. Planted in loamy, clay-limestone soil, the vines are tended with great care, giving the Pizzella vintages a consistent balance. Partially aged in oak barrels, one of the range’s signature wines, La Posta Pizzella 2024 is a Malbec with typical black fruit aromas, enhanced by vegetal and spicy notes. On the palate, the aromatic expression persists, nuanced and balanced by round tannins and a velvety finish. The palate is elegant and nuanced, with a full-bodied and lingering finish, underpinned by a pronounced minerality. Powerful and underpinned by a beautiful minerality, it bears the hallmarks of the Paraje Altamira vineyard: 10 hectares situated at an altitude of 1,100 metres, in the Uco Valley, in the province of Mendoza.
