Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru 2023 - Domaine Henri Rebourseau
Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru 2023 - Domaine Henri Rebourseau
Wine Domaine Henri Rebourseau - First mentioned in 1420 and neighbouring the prestigious Clos de Bèze, the Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Henri Rebourseau flourishes on 0.96 hectares of 41-year-old vines, rooted in a terroir of limestone with entroques and brown earth where rock outcrops. This sloping plot, protected from the north by the village of Gevrey, produces a wine that rivals Clos de Bèze in finesse: opulent, powerful and complex, marked by nuances of red and black fruits, liquorice and stone fruit. Supported by biodynamic farming, an ultra-modern winery and gravity-fed processing of unprecedented precision, the estate produces a Mazis of rare depth: bright red in colour, with an abundant, spicy nose and a full palate with dense juice, supported by integrated tannins and a taut mineral structure. With a low yield of 23 hl/ha, this exceptional cuvée is majestic at the table, particularly with herb-crusted suckling lamb, wild boar leg or veal tongue in Madeira sauce.
