Wine J. De Villebois - Produced from the terroirs of Menetou-Salon, the Menetou-Salon Blanc 2023 - Domaine J. De Villebois exemplifies the precision and elegance of Sauvignon Blanc in this lesser-known appellation of the Centre-Loire. The 2023 vintage proved challenging in the vineyard, with lower yields than in previous years. This more limited harvest, however, yielded concentrated, high-quality grapes, revealing the full potential of the terroir. Carefully vinified, the wine displays a luminous lemon-yellow colour. The nose opens with delicate aromas of pear and white peach, complemented by subtle notes of chestnut and white pepper. On the palate, freshness is expressed through flavours of quince, apple and pear, supported by a supple and elegant texture. The finish, long and delicately tart, lingers with a harmonious, slight bitterness that highlights the finesse of the whole.
