Monica di Sardegna - Perdera 2024 - Argiolas

Wine Argiolas - Made primarily from Monica Nero, Argiolas’ Perdera offers a chance to taste this local variety, often used in blends, which nevertheless has its own Denomination of Origin (DOC Monica di Sardegna). Grown in its native Mediterranean climate, in the clay-limestone soils of the hills in the hinterland of Cagliari, this black grape variety—brought back into fashion by the great Sardinian estate—reveals delicate varietal notes of plum and blackberry on the nose. Aged in concrete vats and briefly in small French oak barrels, Perdera 2024 retains its characteristic, rich flavours on the palate, with a few spicy notes combined with the freshness and elegance of Argiolas’ wines. Dry and pleasantly balanced, with a smooth and harmonious finish, it will perfectly complement a seared tuna steak and homemade pasta with tomato sauce and Parmesan.
