Nebbiolo Montferrato 2022 - Covalli

Wine Covalli - This cuvée draws its identity from the heart of Piedmont, in the Monferrato area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, the vineyards shape the landscape as much as the local culture, and Nebbiolo has been cultivated here for centuries as a true regional emblem. After harvesting, the wine undergoes a long maceration followed by temperature-controlled fermentation, then ages for a year in traditional concrete vats. This approach preserves the purity of the fruit whilst giving the wine a refined structure. The nose reveals a lingering bouquet of cherry, blackberry and liquorice. On the palate, the structure is elegant and well-defined, with lovely depth and a balanced finish that subtly prolongs the aromas. Versatile at the table, it pairs equally well with red or white meats in sauce as with elaborate pasta dishes.
