Wine Plaimont - This Madiran reveals a new and unexpected expression of Tannat. On the clay-and-gravel slopes, the grapes are harvested at perfect ripeness and then gently processed, like an infusion, to preserve the freshness and finesse of the fruit. Aged in vats and partly in casks, it offers delicately integrated tannins and a rare elegance for the appellation. On tasting, its brilliant garnet colour heralds a rich nose of cherry and raspberry. The palate, fresh and balanced, surprises with its lightness and smoothness, a far cry from the traditional style of Madiran. Modern and approachable, this wine is best served slightly chilled, ideal as an aperitif or for sharing, to rediscover Tannat in a new light.
