Port Natura Organic Reserve - Grahams
Wine Graham’s Port - Produced in the Douro, a Portuguese valley listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and world-renowned for its great Port wines, the Natura Organic Reserve comes from Grahams organic vineyards (the Rio Torto valley and the Vale da Vilarica vineyards in the Upper Douro Valley). This historic brand, owned by the family-run Symington company, boasts the largest area of certified organic vineyards in northern Portugal. Planted on steep terraced slopes, at altitudes of between 150 and 350 metres, the vines are harvested by hand (a rarity in major wine-growing regions) and yield low grape yields, producing smaller, more concentrated berries of the very highest quality. The blend of traditional grape varieties and ageing in casks for 4 to 6 years produces a dark red port, true to Grahams traditional style. On the nose, the Natura Reserve offers a pleasant freshness and floral notes, followed by a rich, smooth and fruity palate. Perfect as an aperitif, this classic port with good ageing potential also pairs very well at the end of a meal, with cheese or dessert (preferably chocolate-based).
