Wine Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza - Produced from the Finca Valdepoleo vineyard, one of Bodegas Pujanza’s most iconic, this limited-edition cuvée fully embodies the terroir from which it originates: on the heights of the small fortified town of Laguardia, in Rioja Alavesa (Spanish Basque Country). Complex and demanding, Pujanza Finca Valdepoleo is crafted from a blend of seven separately cultivated plots, from harvest through to the end of ageing (12 months in French oak barrels), with the blend varying according to each vintage. Situated at 630 metres above sea level on the clay-limestone soils of the Cantabrian Mountains, this mosaic of terroirs brings freshness, harmony and uniqueness to the 2021 vintage. Both straightforward and subtle, it displays a fine balance, underpinned by silky tannins, a heart of slightly crunchy red fruit and a long finish. A multifaceted Rioja, ideal for discovering Carlos San Pedro’s personal signature.
