Wine Domaine Fernand Engel - Praelatenberg is a prestigious vineyard site in Kintzheim, which once belonged to the monks of Ebersmunster Abbey. With its beautiful golden-yellow colour and amber highlights, the very intense nose evokes aromas of very ripe fruit, citrus, beeswax and floral notes. The attack on the palate is lively, with a very fruity wine that also reveals an animal character (leather, smoked bacon) in its youth. This surprising duality is delightful and typical of this grand cru. As it develops, these unusual aromas give way to notes of ripe fruit (pear, quince) with lovely minerality. Dense and powerful, this is a superb Riesling Grand Cru!
