Wine Markus Molitor - The Zeltinger Sonnenuhr corresponds to the historic parcels not subject to the vineyard restructuring process, which are home to old, ungrafted Riesling vines. Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spätlese (Golden Capsule) opens with an intense, highly refined bouquet of flint and crushed slate. The nose is complex and slightly reductive, reminiscent of iodine, iron and quartz. Lush and concentrated, the refined palate of this Spätlese develops a saline finesse with delicate acidity and serious structure. This is a very intense, ripe, densely textured and magnificent Spätlese from the prestigious Molitor, one of Mosel's most important vineyards since 1986.
