Wine Fattoria Dei Barbi - Bearing the unique characteristics of Sangiovese, the great Tuscan red grape variety behind the famous Brunello, this Rosso di Montalcino offers a more accessible introduction to one of the region’s great appellations. Produced by the historic Fattoria Dei Barbi estate, this Sangiovese comes from young vines in Montalcino, planted on marl and schist soils south of Siena. Aged for around six months in oak barrels and stainless steel vats, the Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2024 has a harmonious structure, with fine tannins and a velvety texture. On the palate, it reveals fragrant flavours of red berries, candied redcurrants and minerals, with a refreshing minty note on the finish. A pleasant, aromatic wine, perfect from aperitif to dinner, ideal for accompanying simple, tasty everyday dishes (such as mushroom risotto, pasta with cheese or pizza).
