Wine Villa Poggio Salvi - Located in the southern part of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation, in the province of Siena, the Villa Poggio Salvi estate produces lovely Rosso di Montalcino DOC wines. Made from the same Sangiovese Grosso grape variety as Brunello di Montalcino, the Spinaie 2024, which reaches full maturity after 12 months’ ageing in oak barrels, offers an easy introduction to the flavours of Montalcino wines. The vineyard’s rocky soils, combined with a 2024 vintage featuring less sweet, more aromatic and acidic grapes, have shaped this vibrant, floral red wine. On the nose, it offers aromas of rose and ripe, juicy black cherries. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity and well-balanced, with slightly spicy notes, harmonious tannins and a mineral, lingering finish. Enjoyable to drink now, the Rosso di Montalcino Le Spinaie is also suitable for ageing for a few years in the cellar.
