Saint Aubin 2023 - Domaine de la Roche Moreau

Wine Domaine de la Roche Moreau - For this highly expressive Coteaux du Layon, the vines are grown on clay-schist soils on the right bank of the Layon, where the river creates a microclimate favourable to botrytis. The grapes are harvested by hand in successive passes, selecting only those affected by botrytis. The wine is fermented and aged in vats for seven months. On the nose, it reveals notes of candied apricot, pineapple and honey. The palate, smooth and complex, offers a tangy finish. Fruit-driven in its youth, it can be enjoyed now. It will age just as well for 15 years, or even several decades, with the aromas evolving towards honey and spices with age.
