Wine Domaine Plageoles - Verdanel, an ancient grape variety that had almost disappeared, owes its revival to the Plageoles family. Replanted at the estate in the early 2000s, it now expresses all its finesse and elegance in this 2021 vintage. Grown on clay-limestone soil and cultivated organically, this 100% Verdanel wine is vinified with a focus on maximum naturalness: direct pressing, static settling, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, no oak ageing or skin contact, and malolactic fermentation to round out the structure. The result is a first-class white wine, authentic and pure, reflecting the respectful treatment of the vines and the Plageoles’ passion for preserving historic grape varieties.
