Vermentino di Sardegna - Costamolino 2025 - Argiolas

Wine Argiolas - A dry, mineral-driven Vermentino di Sardegna, Argiolas’ Costamolino evokes the partly limestone soils from which it originates, in the historic Trexanta area, north of Serdiana (the family estate’s home town, a few kilometres from Cagliari and the coast). Situated 200–250 metres above sea level, the vineyard enjoys an ideal aspect, favouring the cultivation of white grapes such as Vermentino. This grape variety, which is very widespread in Sardinia and renowned for its fresh, maritime character that reflects the terroir it inhabits, is perfectly suited to ageing in stainless steel (and a brief period on lees), a process reserved for the Costamolino 2025. Intense and floral, it displays a marked minerality on the nose, combined with subtle notes of citrus and white fruits. Confirming these delicate aromas, the palate reveals fullness and plenty of freshness. Enjoyable now as an aperitif, it will pair well with seafood, sea bass with artichokes or a vegetarian dish.
