Vigne en Rose 2023 - Vignoble du Rêveur

Wine Vignoble du Rêveur - Based in Bennwihr, Alsace, Vignoble du Rêveur was founded by Mathieu Deiss and Emmanuelle Milan with the aim of breathing new life into the family vineyard whilst exploring a free-spirited and vibrant approach to winemaking. The vines are cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods on alluvial soils, and the grapes are harvested by hand. In the cellar, winemaking is minimally interventionist, with fermentation using indigenous yeasts and ageing on fine lees to preserve the expression of the terroir and the vintage. The La Vigne en Rose cuvée perfectly illustrates this philosophy. It blends Gewurztraminer and Riesling, two iconic Alsatian grape varieties, from the same plot. A short maceration of part of the Gewurztraminer brings texture and aromatic intensity, whilst the Riesling adds freshness and tension. The blend is then aged on fine lees to harmonise the wine and reveal an expressive, floral and balanced cuvée, true to the estate’s artisanal spirit.
