Join wine expert and presenter from The Wine Show, Amelia Singer, as she teaches you about wine appreciations - including how to taste wine, choose wine and pair wine with food. Think you know your Nebbiolo from your Counoise grape variety? What year would be the best Riesling to sip on? In this wine course Amelia will give you an understanding of grapes, wine and wine regions, so you can be confident about choosing wine, when to choose white wine, red wine, or rose wine and combining wine with food. Plus she'll explain the "coffee test" which will help you uncover wines that suit your palate (and amaze your friends!) The course is filmed in London based winery ‘London Cru’ with winemaker Alex Hurley. Alex is a Master of Enology and Viticulture, and a key member of the London Cru Winery team, working with quality English grapes. We will also explore how to pair wine with food, with Leith’s School of Food and Drink’s resident chef, Dan Cameron. The course will cover wines from California, Australia, France, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, UK and Argentina. You'll be discovering different wines from different grapes including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Pinot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Sangiovese.
